Not so long ago, when the Internet still had everything of a fresh prairie and that it was common practice to share, using a significant number of words, tart recipes and techniques for armed struggle, when video feeds allowed us to study in great detail every image of a film, when modems had barely ceased to produce the science-fiction sounds of the 80’s, which, incidentally, had long stopped conjuring in our minds images of the future – it was therefore not so long ago that Khiasma had started trying its best to recount all that deserved to be known through a blog : Croisements.
Then came the season of social networks, sweeping away the prehistoric methods. From that point on we affixed delicious upwards-pointing thumbs onto little cats and duck faces, dishes in restaurants and photos of the monstrous babies invading planet Earth along with a whole vast and disparate range of objects, both familiar and pornographic. We could also trigger sad and angry faces at the foot of intellectual impostures and barbarisms dressed in suits and ties. We had a word to say on everything, the revolt became permanent and the local pub’s bar stools felt their last days approaching at great speed.
But there you have it, one season chases away another, and it is now time to return home, to speak from a safe space that we know well. We are going back to our first loves with a new blog from where we will be bringing you news of the air we breathe on this side of the périphérique.
